City Boy

City Boy was a British rock band that was active from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. The band was formed in 1976 and originally consisted of Lol Mason (vocals), Steve Broughton (guitar), Max Thomas (keyboards), Chris Dunn (bass), and Roger Kent (drums). Over the years, the band's lineup changed several times, with Mason and Thomas being the only constant members throughout the band's history.

City Boy's music was a blend of rock, pop, and progressive rock, and they were known for their catchy melodies, harmonies, and intricate arrangements. Their music was heavily influenced by bands like Queen, 10cc, and Supertramp. City Boy released several albums during their career, including "City Boy" (1976), "Young Men Gone West" (1977), "The Day the Earth Caught Fire" (1979), and "It's Personal" (1981).

City Boy had some success in the UK and Europe, and their biggest hit was the single "5-7-0-5," which reached #8 on the UK singles chart in 1978. The band also toured extensively, both in the UK and abroad, and they were known for their high-energy live performances.

Despite their success, City Boy never achieved the same level of commercial success as some of their peers, and they eventually disbanded in the early 1980s. However, their music has remained popular among fans of classic rock, and they are remembered as an important and influential band from the era.
