April Wine is a Canadian rock band that was formed in 1969. The band's original lineup consisted of Myles Goodwyn (vocals, guitar), David Henman (guitar), Jim Henman (bass), and Ritchie Henman (drums). The band's name was inspired by the members' love of wine and the fact that they formed in the month of April. April Wine rose to fame in the 1970s with a string of hit albums and singles. Their music was characterized by a blend of hard rock and melodic pop, and they were known for their high-energy live performances. Some of their most popular songs include "Roller," "I Like to Rock," "Sign of the Gypsy Queen," and "Just Between You and Me." Over the years, April Wine has undergone several lineup changes, with Myles Goodwyn remaining the only constant member. The band has continued to tour and record new music, and they are considered one of Canada's most successful and influential rock bands. They have been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and have won multiple Juno Awards, which are Canada's equivalent of the Grammy Awards. April Wine I (1969 - 1971)
