Randy Bachman is a Canadian musician and songwriter who has been a part of several successful bands over the years. He is best known as a founding member and lead guitarist for the rock bands The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO). Bachman co-founded The Guess Who in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1965, and the band went on to achieve international success with hits like "American Woman" and "These Eyes". In 1970, Bachman left The Guess Who and formed BTO with his brothers Robbie and Tim, as well as Fred Turner. BTO had several hits in the 1970s, including "Takin' Care of Business" and "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet". In addition to his work with The Guess Who and BTO, Bachman has also had a successful solo career. He has released several albums under his own name, including "Survivor" and "Heavy Blues". Throughout his career, Bachman has been recognized as a talented guitarist and songwriter, and he has been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. He continues to perform and record music to this day. Born Randall Charles Bachman on September 27, 1943, Winnipeg, Canada.
