Crow was formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1967 by singer and rhythm guitarist Dave Wagner, lead guitarist Dick Wiegand, bassist Larry Wiegand, and drummer Denny Craswell. The band quickly developed a reputation for their high-energy live shows, which combined elements of rock, blues, and psychedelia. In 1969, Crow signed a record deal with Amaret Records and released their debut album, "Crow Music." The album featured the band's biggest hit, "Evil Woman (Don't Play Your Games With Me)," which reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Crow went on to release several more albums over the years, including "Crow by Crow" in 1970 and "Mosaic" in 1971. However, the band never achieved the same level of commercial success as they did with their debut album. Despite this, Crow continued to tour and perform throughout the 1970s and into the early 1980s. They eventually disbanded in 1981, but their music has remained popular with rock fans and has been featured in several movies and TV shows over the years. Overall, Crow was an influential band in the Minneapolis rock scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans of classic rock today.
