Crowbar is a Canadian rock band that was formed in 1969 and served as the backing band for Ronnie Hawkins in the 1970s. Crowbar's original lineup consisted of Richard Newell (aka King Biscuit Boy) (vocals, harmonica), Roly Greenway (bass), Larry Atamanuik (drums), Kelly Jay (keyboards), and Ra McGuire (guitar). The band's music was a fusion of rock, blues, and boogie-woogie, with a strong emphasis on groove and rhythm. In addition to their work with Ronnie Hawkins, Crowbar released several albums of their own, including "Bad Manors" (1971) and "Larger Than Life" (1972). Some of their most well-known songs include "Oh What a Feeling" and "Too Fat to Fly". Crowbar disbanded in 1975, but their music has continued to be influential in the Canadian rock scene. Kelly Jay went on to form the band Crowcuss, while Ra McGuire became the lead singer of the band Trooper. Crowbar (1970 - ? )
