Faces were a British rock band formed in 1969, following the departure of Steve Marriott from Small Faces. The band consisted of Rod Stewart (vocals), Ronnie Wood (guitar), Ronnie Lane (bass), Ian McLagan (keyboards), and Kenney Jones (drums). Faces' music was a blend of rock, blues, and folk influences, characterized by Stewart's raspy vocals and the band's loose, improvisational style. They had a string of hits in the early 1970s, including "Stay with Me," "Cindy Incidentally," and "Ooh La La." The band was known for their rowdy, alcohol-fueled live shows and their camaraderie both on and off stage. They often collaborated with other musicians and were closely associated with the Rolling Stones, with Ronnie Wood joining the Stones in 1975. Despite their success, Faces disbanded in 1975 due to conflicts between Stewart and the rest of the band, as well as the pressures of touring and recording. However, their music and legacy continue to influence rock and roll to this day, with Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood both becoming solo stars and legends in their own right. Faces I (1969 - 1973)
Faces II (1973 - 1975)
