John Fogerty

John Fogerty is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, best known for his work as the lead singer and guitarist of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Fogerty was born on May 28, 1945, in Berkeley, California, and he formed CCR in the late 1960s with his brother Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford, and Stu Cook.

CCR achieved enormous success during their brief time together, releasing a string of hit singles and albums throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. Some of their most famous songs include "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Fortunate Son," and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?".

In addition to his work with CCR, Fogerty has also had a successful solo career, releasing numerous albums and touring extensively. He is known for his distinctive voice and guitar playing, as well as his ability to write catchy and memorable songs that have stood the test of time.

Fogerty's music draws on a variety of influences, including rock and roll, blues, country, and folk, and his lyrics often deal with themes of freedom, justice, and the struggles of working-class Americans. He has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades over the years, including induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of CCR in 1993, and as a solo artist in 2019.
