Humble Pie
Humble Pie was a British rock band formed in 1969, featuring Steve Marriott (formerly of the Small Faces) on vocals and guitar, Peter Frampton on vocals and guitar, Greg Ridley on bass, and Jerry Shirley on drums. The band is known for its blend of hard rock, blues, and soul music.
Humble Pie released its debut album, "As Safe As Yesterday Is," in 1969, followed by "Town and Country" later that year. In 1970, the band released "Humble Pie," which included the hit single "Natural Born Bugie."
The band's most successful album, "Smokin'," was released in 1972 and reached the top 10 on the US Billboard charts. The album featured the hit single "30 Days in the Hole."
In 1975, Peter Frampton left the band to pursue a solo career, and the remaining members continued as Humble Pie with various line-up changes until they disbanded in 1979. The band briefly reunited in the early 2000s with original members Jerry Shirley and Greg Ridley, but Ridley passed away in 2003.
