Led Zeppelin was a British rock band formed in London in 1968. The band consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Led Zeppelin is widely considered one of the most influential and successful rock bands in history, having sold over 300 million albums worldwide. The band's music blended blues, folk, and heavy rock, and their sound was characterized by Page's virtuosic guitar playing, Plant's powerful vocals, Jones's versatile bass and keyboard work, and Bonham's thunderous drumming. Their live performances were legendary, featuring extended improvisations and virtuoso displays of musicianship. Led Zeppelin released their self-titled debut album in 1969, which was a critical and commercial success. They went on to release eight studio albums, including classics like "Led Zeppelin II," "IV," and "Physical Graffiti." The band also produced several iconic songs such as "Stairway to Heaven," "Whole Lotta Love," "Kashmir," and "Black Dog." Despite their immense success, Led Zeppelin's career was cut short by the tragic death of John Bonham in 1980, which led to the band's dissolution. However, their music continues to be revered by fans and musicians alike, and their influence can be heard in countless bands across a wide range of genres.
