Marcus King is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter born on March 11, 1996, in Greenville, South Carolina. He grew up in a musical family, with his father being a blues guitarist and his grandfather a country musician. King started playing guitar at a young age and developed his skills by practicing for hours every day.

At the age of 11, Marcus King started performing with his father, Marvin King's, band. By the age of 15, he had already played with some of the biggest names in the blues and rock music scene, such as Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and The Allman Brothers Band.

In 2015, King formed his own band, The Marcus King Band, which released their debut album, "Soul Insight," the same year. The band's music blends elements of blues, rock, and soul, and is heavily influenced by King's Southern roots. The Marcus King Band has since released several more albums, including "The Marcus King Band" (2016), "Carolina Confessions" (2018), and "El Dorado" (2020).

Marcus King has been praised for his virtuoso guitar playing, powerful vocals, and songwriting skills. He has been compared to guitar legends such as Jimi Hendrix and Duane Allman, and has been recognized as one of the most promising young guitarists in the contemporary music scene.

In addition to his work with The Marcus King Band, King has collaborated with other musicians, such as Billy Strings and Eric Krasno, and has performed at major music festivals such as Bonnaroo and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
