Shadows of Knight was an American rock band that formed in the Chicago area in the mid-1960s. The band consisted of Jim Sohns on vocals, Warren Rogers on guitar, Tom Schiffour on bass, Jerry McGeorge on guitar, and Tom Morris on drums. The band is perhaps best known for their hit single "Gloria," which was a cover of a song originally written by Van Morrison and recorded by his band Them. Shadows of Knight's version of "Gloria" was a huge success, reaching #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966. In addition to "Gloria," Shadows of Knight also had a few other minor hits, such as "I'm Gonna Make You Mine" and "Bad Little Woman." They were known for their energetic live performances and their mix of garage rock and R&B influences. The band continued to tour and record throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, although they experienced some lineup changes along the way. They disbanded in the mid-1970s but reunited in the 1980s and continued to perform occasionally. Shadows of Knight played an important role in the garage rock scene of the 1960s and left a lasting impact on rock music. The High School Surf Band I (1964 - 1965)
