The Strangeloves

The Strangeloves were a rock band from the 1960s, known for their hit single "I Want Candy." The band consisted of three producers/songwriters who presented themselves as a band from Australia, but were actually from New York City.

The members of the band were Bob Feldman, Jerry Goldstein, and Richard Gottehrer. They had previously worked as songwriters and producers for other artists, including The Angels and The Four Seasons. The Strangeloves' music was characterized by its catchy melodies, upbeat rhythms, and simple lyrics.

"I Want Candy" was released in 1965 and became a top 10 hit in the United States. The song was later covered by a number of other artists, including Bow Wow Wow in the 1980s.

The Strangeloves released several other singles, including "Cara-Lin" and "Night Time," but they were never able to replicate the success of "I Want Candy." The band eventually disbanded in the late 1960s, but their music continued to be popular with fans of 1960s rock and roll.
