Boston

Boston is a classic rock band that formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1976. The band was founded by guitarist and songwriter Tom Scholz, who is known for his innovative use of guitar effects and studio technology. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1976, was an instant success, reaching #3 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 17 million copies worldwide.

The band's signature sound is characterized by Scholz's use of thick, layered guitar harmonies and melodic vocal lines, often backed by a full orchestra. The band's early hits include "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," and "Foreplay/Long Time," which have become staples of classic rock radio.

Despite their success, Boston has experienced numerous lineup changes over the years, with Scholz being the only consistent member. The band has released six studio albums to date, with their most recent album, "Life, Love & Hope," being released in 2013.

Boston's music has had a significant influence on the development of rock music, particularly in the use of guitar effects and production techniques. They have been cited as an influence by numerous bands, including Guns N' Roses, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. Despite the passing of lead singer Brad Delp in 2007, Boston continues to tour and perform their classic hits to this day.
