Todd Rundgren
Todd Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He was born on June 22, 1948, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, and began playing guitar in high school.
Rundgren first gained fame as a member of the psychedelic rock band Nazz in the late 1960s. He later went on to launch a successful solo career, with hits such as "Hello It's Me" and "I Saw the Light" in the early 1970s. His music is known for its eclectic style, incorporating elements of rock, pop, soul, and electronic music.
In addition to his work as a musician, Rundgren has also produced records for a number of other artists, including Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell," The New York Dolls' self-titled album, Grand Funk's "We're An American Band," and XTC's "Skylarking."
Rundgren's career has spanned several decades and has been marked by a number of notable accomplishments. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021, and has received numerous Grammy nominations for his work as a producer. Rundgren continues to tour and record music to this day, and remains a respected and influential figure in the music industry.
