The Electric Flag was an American blues rock band formed in 1967 in Los Angeles, California. The band was led by guitarist Mike Bloomfield and featured drummer Buddy Miles, bassist Harvey Brooks, keyboardist Barry Goldberg, and a horn section that included saxophonist Peter Strazza and trumpeter Marcus Doubleday. The Electric Flag's music was a blend of blues, rock, and soul, and their live shows were known for their high energy and improvisation. Their debut album, "A Long Time Comin'", was released in 1968 and featured the hit single "Killing Floor", a cover of the Howlin' Wolf classic. The band was also known for their collaborations with other musicians, including Jimi Hendrix, who played with the Electric Flag on a few occasions, and Buddy Miles, who went on to join Hendrix's Band of Gypsys. Despite their early success, the Electric Flag struggled with internal conflicts and personnel changes, and eventually disbanded in 1970. However, their influence can still be heard in the music of many artists today, and they are remembered as one of the pioneering bands of the blues rock genre. The Electric Flag I (1967 - 1968)
The Electric Flag II(1968 - 1969)
