Blues Incorporated
Blues Incorporated was a British R&B band formed in London in 1961. The band was founded by Alexis Korner and Cyril Davies, who were both passionate about American blues music and wanted to bring it to a wider British audience.
The band's early line-up included musicians such as Charlie Watts, who later joined The Rolling Stones, and Jack Bruce, who went on to form Cream. Blues Incorporated became known for their raw, energetic live performances, which often included extended jams and featured guest appearances from other notable musicians of the time.
Blues Incorporated released several albums and singles during their brief existence, including the 1962 album "R&B from the Marquee," which is considered one of the first British R&B recordings. However, the band struggled to gain commercial success and eventually disbanded in 1966.
Despite their relatively short career, Blues Incorporated is considered an important band in the development of British blues and rock music. Many of the musicians who played with the band went on to have successful careers in other bands and genres, and their influence can still be heard in music today.
