Crosby, Stills and Nash (often abbreviated as CSN) is an American rock band formed in 1968 consisting of David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash. The band is known for their intricate vocal harmonies and their blend of folk, rock, and pop music. David Crosby had previously been a member of The Byrds, Stephen Stills had been a member of Buffalo Springfield, and Graham Nash had been a member of The Hollies. The three came together in the late 1960s and quickly formed a musical bond. Their self-titled debut album, "Crosby, Stills & Nash," was released in 1969 and was a huge success, reaching number 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album features many of the band's most popular songs, including "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," "Marrakesh Express," and "Wooden Ships." The band was joined by Neil Young in 1970, and together they released the album "Déjà Vu," which included hits like "Teach Your Children" and "Our House." Young was not an official member of the band, but he played with them on and off for many years. Over the years, Crosby, Stills and Nash have released a number of successful albums and have continued to tour, often with Neil Young. The band has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, once as CSN in 1997 and once as a member of Buffalo Springfield in 1997. Despite some personal and creative differences between the members, Crosby, Stills and Nash have remained a beloved and influential band, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.
